Hi All!
As I have been mentioning that these days I am in no mood of elaborate cooking and I tend to make things which are quick to make and hassle free.
Cucumbers are very healthy to eat especially in summer as they help in hydrating the body with it’s large water content and rich source of minerals. I love to eat raw cucumber sprinkled with salt and chilli powder and it can be a feast for me. The flavour of cucumber is amazing so I thought making an instant dosa with it and gladly it turned out very tasty and flavourful so thought of sharing it with every one.
The dosa has an amazing texture and is very light to eat. It’s a perfect breakfast item and was loved by my family. I use Parmal rice for making my dosa these days and I must thank my Mangalorean friend Gayatri for that as I got introduced to it because of her. Do try this rice and enjoy the great texture of dosa.
Ingredients
2 cups Parmal rice (long grain non basmati rice)
1/2 cup urad dal
4-5 green chillies
2-3 big cucumber peeled, seeded and sliced
salt to taste
1/2tsp sugar
Method
Soak the rice and lentil for 3-4 hours.
Grind the rice with the cucumber and green chillies to a fine paste.
Grind the lentil finely.
Mix the rice and lentil and add salt to taste and sugar.
Let the mixture stand for an hour or two and then make dosas out of it.
The dosa batter has to be slightly thinner than the normal dosa batter.
Serve it with onion-tomato chutney.
this looks wonderfully tasty..yum..!
