Kadhai Paneer

I was late to enter my kitchen for cooking lunch and the younger one demanded Paneer(is ready to eat any time of the day). Was in no mood to make an elaborate recipe as the kids were hungry . Made this Kadhai Paneer in a matter of few minutes.

Ingredients:

Paneer-300 gms
3 medium sized onions (grated or finely chopped)
1 onion sliced
1 capsicum cut into fingers
3 medium sized tomatoes (finely chopped)
5-6 large pods garlic (crushed)
1 inch ginger (crushed)
1tbsp fresh coarsely pounded coriander seeds
2 dry red chillies
1 small spoon garam masala
3 small spoons kitchen king masala
1 small spoon red chilli powder
1 small spoon turmeric powder
oil /butter to cook
salt to taste

Method:
Heat oil ,put red chillies ,followed by the chopped onions(I used my hand mixer).. saute till light brown in colour, add ginger and garlic and saute till cooked ,then add tomatoes and salt . Cook till the oil separates.. now add the spices one by one and the masalas.Cook till the spices produce their aroma, add 1/2 cup water and cook for a min. This is a dry dish , adding water at this stage ensures that the dish does not become too dry. Now add the sliced onions , saute for a min and put in the paneer and toss it gently and cook for 3-4 mins then add the capsicum and cook it till its half done. Do not overcook.
